I provide online, person-centred counselling for adults (over 18).
Online means the sessions with you are held using Teams or Skype. On-line sessions provide greater accessibility for clients making it easier to build in therapeutic time in our busy lives, particularly if you have travel limitations. It also means you can receive counselling in a place where you feel comfortable.
Person-centred counselling is a form of therapy that puts you in control. The sessions are led by what you want to bring to the session; they are not directed by me.
In the session we will work together to help you to feel better and then maintain your mental wellness, helping you thrive and become more resilient.
In a free introductory session, I will meet with you online to discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from the sessions (it’s ok if you don’t know). If you want to go ahead with counselling, we will agree the dates and times of your appointments.
Initially, we will arrange 3-6 appointments, at a cost of £45 per session.
We will review how things are going in session 6 and whether further sessions would be beneficial for you.
If you have concerns about the cost of therapy
I am proud to work with the Jonathan Upshall Foundation.
They provide grants for private counselling and psychotherapy to adults in Gateshead, Newcastle and the surrounding areas who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access a potentially life-changing service.
